Masterplan

The Alice Smith School master plan delivers the concepts for developing the learning landscape over the coming years for both our Primary and Secondary Campuses.

Book of Dreams

Our Book of Dreams framework is designed to guide our educators, ensuring that every student achieves their full potential.

Purpose Statement

Our PURPOSE, to ‘Spark Courageous Exploration to Inspire a Better World’ guides how we co-create our student, people and community experience.

Visual Identity

Is the way we look - a visual representation of our culture and purpose and how we communicate these to our students, our people and our world.

Curriculum Impact

We are proudly British-Malaysian, but our curriculum, while rooted in our British heritage, has always been wider, deeper and more relevant to our students than the English National programme. We define curriculum as the framework of our student-centred learning experiences which define an Alice Smith education. Read below to see the impact our unique, bespoke curriculum has on our students.

Early Years

Ages 3 to 6 (Preschool, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). Developing a ‘culture of curiosity’ throughout the early years which will permeate the set up of learning environments - spaces that invite ‘wondering’ and the encouragement of critical and creative thinking-provocations.

Junior School

Ages 6 to 11 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6). Our Concept Based Inquiry curriculum is continuing to be rolled out in our Juniors. It recognises the unique needs and contexts of international learners, adapting and enriching the core knowledge and skills to foster global citizenship and intercultural understanding.

Middle School

Ages 11 to 14 (Years 7, 8 and 9). In the Middle School years, students explore a varied curriculum, with a focus on breadth of experience. We encourage students to explore as much as possible to discover their strengths, their passions, and their interests.

Upper School

Ages 14 to 18 (Years 10 and 11 - GCSE; Years 12 and 13 - A Level). Inspired by progressive models, we emphasise inquiry-driven, interdisciplinary learning while maintaining the academic rigour of the (I)GCSE and A Level pathways preparing our students for university and careers.
